Community Goals & Purpose

The aim of the PAScribe Community is to help you grow in your practice, strengthen you on your journey and help you to produce the calligraphy you are happy with. 

 

My aims for you, are to help you see why accuracy in calligraphy is important and how to achieve it in your own writing, as well, to help you gain a deeper insight into the practice of our craft and how it connects with Palaeography, calligraphy’s academic sister field.  

 

One of my Goals is helping you connect with the writing in a truly holistic manner. I feel very strongly about how breathing carefully and consistently whilst writing can connect you to the meditative aspect of this craft we are called to practice. 

 

Our Goals in the community are to facilitate your growth and the growth of others by helping you connect with each other and support each other as you learn together.

 

Posting Rules – The community is a safe space where you can post your work and receive constructive criticism about how to improve. Please do not post an image and no text to support the image. Writing about the post, who you felt and what you felt you struggled with, will help us help you. If you want to be more specific, and delve into the fine details you will only find more help from others who are on this journey too. Please follow the posting rules to enable both you, and others to benefit from these interactions.

Our Commitment isn’t only to your calligraphic well-being but your health in general. We all have tough days, and, to this end, we have a ‘How are you?’ thread where you can hop on and post about your physical, mental or emotional state, as sometimes it is good to be able to talk (type) and to get the support and feedback from your community buddies. This is one of the reasons the ‘Calligraphy & Meditation’ sessions are part of the free community.

 

Please remember, this is not is a place to post work simply for likes, there are Facebook groups for that, this is not one of them.
