With a deep understanding and education in writing and it’s historical forms, Paul Antonio (or PAScribe, as he is also known) teaches comprehensive classes that enable you to become a better practitioner of this craft we all love.

Paul’s dynamic speaking style keeps students interested and engaged. Students are drawn in by the breadth and depth of his knowledge, as well as his stunning calligraphy and examples.

Paul has created unique teaching techniques like the PAScribe Tool Coordinate System and 4Fold Symmetry, which give students a more thorough understanding of the correct letter forms. He emphasizes the meditative aspects of calligraphy, teaching students how to become conscious of the pace of the writing in tandem with the breath.

Paul developed this system whilst teaching online to give students an accurate description of where the nib is. It mimics the Cartesian Coordinate system in that, as a point in space has an X-Y-Z axis, so too should we be able to describe with unfailing accuracy, where the nib is in relation to the line on the page and where the tool is in the hold of the fingers. This approach gives you a very different insight into how to hold the writing implement in order to achieve a specific line.
